Long Pond - Brewster Cape Cod
Written by Michael Leighton
At 716 acres in size, Brewster’s Long Pond is the largest pond on the Cape and one of the deepest. It lies on the dividing line between Brewster to the north and Harwich to the south, with both towns having public beaches along its shores. Long Pond is surrounded by many upscale homes and the Cape Cod Rail Trail to the west along Pleasant Lake Ave. This is one of the most popular ponds on the Cape and activities such as swimming, fishing, boating and sailing are enjoyed by both tourists and residents.
